About 30 activists braved the rain to deliver a letter of protest at the weaponisation of space, facilitated by a key UK outpost of the American Reich. RAF Fylingdales is a crucial part of a global network designed solely to allow the US to launch pre-emptive attacks accross the world, free from fear of retaliation. This backroom slaughter house contributes daily to the US global genocide.
The group set of on the half mile or so walk to be greeted at the gate by some nicy smiley PR bod. She was very nice and took our letter (possibly to the recycling point) One protester raised the issue of the bases' part in the killing of innocents and children, to be admonished quickly by a police officer who informed her that her 'abuse' had been duly noted. The protester replied that she sincerely hoped her comments had been noted, and that our letter had been noted also.
After the pleasant exchange with the PR bod, some protesters including ROR decided to embark on a symbolic walk to the parameter fence. Joined by officers, one of who was probably bored by the lack of menace in the group decided to show a bit of frustration by doing the eyeball redface shouty angry thing because the maestro had wondered off before he was ready to facilitate him. As the group climbed nearer to the fence the police escort turned back to allow their colleagues from the MOD to 'protect' the group by filming them from the comfort of their Landrovers.
The rain then decided to have a pour and the group made their way back (thanks for the Lift Bradford ROR) to the relief of damp guardians of the base.
