As part of the 1in12 club's 25th anniversary celebrations the club's drama collective is putting on a major new play. An all singing, all dancing, political musical with classic punk songs done in a bollywood style. Who could ask for more?

Bradford 1981, the God like figure of John Peel narrates this tale of friendship and a community determined to defend itself. Bierley and Manningham are worlds away from each other until Betty and Aayan meet on the dance floor. There are riots in the background but love is at the fore. Set against the tension of the National Front’s threat to attack Manningham and Asian youths determination not to be sitting ducks, Love and Petrol chronicles the pull towards and away from tradition. Packed full of music and mayhem, classic punk songs get the Bollywood treatment in this tragicomedy of family, self-defence and betrayal.
