Last season witnessed significant challenges to the fortunes of the Owls Trust, the independent and largest supporters group which owns nearly 10% of Sheffield Wednesday - making it one of the largest single shareholders in the Club.
The recent Owls Trust election heralds a huge change in the Trust's Board of Directors and a new Chairman. In effect a transfusion of new blood, an exciting collection of individuals from a kaleidoscope of backgrounds and experiences - business, banking, finance, accountancy, sales, advertising, marketing, media and sports. Totally committed and long standing Wednesdayites - all with a great deal to offer in moving the new Trust forward and realising its full potential for the benefit of some of the best and most loyal supporters on the planet. The time really has come for the fans to be listened to and for their voice to be heard.
The successful candidates in a keenly fought election were:

The new Trust Board will actively seek fresh and constructive communication with all levels at the Club in order that we can play our part in the overall master plan and improve the Club’s position. We also aim to present the collective views of an increasing number of Wednesdayites so that they can be rightly represented in the future direction of the Club.
There are going to be new and exciting changes in the way the Trust is run with commitments to new goals. In reality it will be a NEW launch by a NEW team of a NEW brand - with a fresh, modern and invigorating approach to the fans - the enormously loyal band of Wednesdayites.
To start with we have cut the introductory membership fee in half - to just £10 a year, or you can pay by standing order for just £1 a month. We have also introduced an associate membership status for under 18's - at just £5 a year!
