Menwith Hill, the biggest US spy base in the world, has provided critical surveillance information to assist the US in the illegal war and occupation of Iraq. Along with Fylingdales, Menwith Hill is part of the US National Missile Defence system, which allows the US to launch a nuclear attack on another country without fear of retaliation.
This weekend peace camp is to:
> encourage greater participation by women against the war drive and against NMD
> celebrate the role women have played - like at Greenham Common
> share information and ideas
A NON-VIOLENT BLOCKADE will take place on MONDAY as a show of women's determination to remove US war bases from British soil.
ALL WOMEN WELCOME!
Support and training for all first-time activists
Bring a tent, sleeping bag and warm clothes.
Bring banners, placards, drums etc. A contribution to the food is welcome!
Spread the world and encourage other women to attend.
If you are a member of a women's group, a trade union or student union, encourage it to support the campaign and organise transport to the peace camp.
