Arriva Trains Northern has refused access to their trains to disabled people using motorised scooters. We are campaigning strongly against this.
http://www.geocities.com/purplestar1uk/ArrivaCampaign.html Natasha Gollop was recently refused access to a local train service and was told that motorised wheelchairs and scooters are no longer allowed on Arriva trains.
Various supporters of the Arriva Access Campaign have now received replies from Arriva Trains Northern who are stating that electric wheelchairs *are* allowed on their trains, it is just scooters which are not.
This is still completely unacceptable.
