Two street medics arrested at the Carnival For Full Enjoyment during the anti-G8 protests last July were acquitted of Breach of the Peace in court on Friday. The trial took place in a Sheriff’s court in Edinburgh, and lasted for around 4 hours.

At the recent G8 protests in Scotland there were some 450 people detained by the police. A number were then released, so the number of arrests is far less that 450. However, we don’t know how much less. So, we are putting a call out for a number of requests. (With Spanish translation).

Welcome to the G8
Some how, amongst much police confusion, where road blocks were not about stopping traffic, but 'discouraging it', we managed to get our vehicles up a narrow lane to what looked like the media entrance of Gleneagles hotel. Hidden behind a police pen and crowd of media was the G8 bike ride people.

The cops tried many tactics to stop us getting there, but in the end more than 5,000 demonstrated as close as we could to the permineter fence around the Gleneagles Hotel and the Hated Eight.
