Leeds English Defence League March - Sat 31 Oct

There is no march, only a static demo at City Square (opposite the train station) starting at 1.00pm and schedualed to last until 3.00pm (for those going to the Leeds game coaches are then leaving from the Dark Arches under the station.) As the square is mostly surrounded by busy roads and a wall, it's going to be easy for the cops to protect the EDL, who they'll probably kettle-up in a nearby pub first, most likely Wetherspoons in the station as they arrive there. There will undoubtedly be EDL supporters elsewhere in the city centre though, as well as active fascists (a few pics of local and not so local 'faces' are posted here.) The city centre will be heavily policed, so antifascists need to be aware of this. They also need to be aware that the UAF will collaborate with the cops to kettle-in demonstrators outside the Art Gallery and keep them away from the EDL. Good luck to everyone on Saturday.

Thanks Mister Kelway for trolling Indymedia. The EDL have done didley squat about the thirty seig heilers on the Manchester march, and have refused to remove "NO MORE MOSQUES" signs from their legion of skinheaded thugs. Then there's the non-stop racist chanting. A recent forum on the Sun newspaper which contained comments by leading EDL members who had posted plenty of comments about the EDL, (and seemed by all extent to be far more than rank and file members), called for Muslims to be exterminated. Then there's the BNP members who help run the EDL's website, organise demos, etc, despite the assurances from the EDL spindoctors that they do not want to be associated with the BNP.

Last but not least, leading members of the EDL are currently boasting that they have linked up with the UDA both in Belfast and exiled loyalist terrorists in Glasgow, to be trained in paramilitary tactics to go hand-in-hand with their paramilitary-style masks that these far right activists continue to wear.

Unlike the BNP, the EDL have large millionairre backers such as Alan Lake who impose a "code of public relations" rather than a "code of conduct", to do a fascist-style Mandelson gloss over the cold, hard facts that the EDL are a neo-Nazi association who view themselves as a street army.

Far right football hooligans are pure fighters, with shit for brains, so the "freedom of speech" argument doesn't come into it.

If we can forget the "divide and conquer" anarchist versus SWP trolling to try to outpsyche the anti-fash opposition, for a moment, and consider the credentials of the Troll-In-Chief himself, a loser called Kelway.

We have reason to believe (though he will deny it), Kelway is behind all of the "WE'RE NOT NAZIS" bullshit, which is so bizarre when you understand the far right connections of Kelway himself, that the weasel doesn't want the world to know about.

The aim of the EDL is to create a brand new British far right force, a cross between the National Front and Mr Berlesconi's hard right Italian populist party which engages in political violence with a long-term aim of becoming the new BNP. For this to happen, and the party to become more popular than the BNP, the EDL has to live one big lie and play down its evil nazi self, and also downplay the destructive role of his football hooligans who give the EDL a bad name with the likes of the Daily Mail, who hate all young people let alone young football louts who never know how to behave with civility in public.

As an affirmed antiracist myself, I do not want to give the EDL any tips on how to become a successful neo-Nazi party to take over from the BNP, as this would become every anti-fascist's nightmare, having two not one far right political party, however one thing's for sure, employing an army of racist football hooligans and hardline Hitler-saluting national socialists, is NOT the way to become the next BNP.

The EDL are the new National Front not the BNP. The NF got nowhere fast because of their unsophisticated street tactics, so Alan Lake is wasting every last penny of his corporate cash if he thinks he can turn his fucked-up brigade of racist fuckwits into anything other than a laughing stock.

Why did the vast majority of the "master race" on the EDL demo today look so pasty? 'Wigan' Mike (as opposed to Mike's from other places I suppose?) and Tony White both look like they could do with a good holiday and new healthy eating regime. Perhaps they should all switch to drinking bitter as opposed to imported strong larger. On the videos of the EDL demo a few of them do this weird dance thing where they bend their needs and wiggle their arms around, like they need to go to the toilet, and then repeatedly chant where they are from. Their mannerisms and behaviour is pretty much typical of the kind of behaviour you see from certain year 7 or 8 school kids.Look out for the EDL dancing, it would be funny if they weren't so repugnant.

The uaf were useless.They kept saying theyd march but didnt a few of us did but were forced back anyway because too many people listened to Weyman dixkhead.Who later on abondoned a group of antifascists who were kettled in with police to talk to tv camaras.This is a man who gave a speach at codnor about how everytime he sees a nazi theyre running away! I understand not everyone wants to phsically confront the fascists ut bottom line because of the uaf 'leaders' the edl marched and hardly any antifascists did.

I was sadly pulled into Tony Whites click in the early 2000's whilst growing up - You live and learn, growing up in Pudsey it became a focal point to get involved with the demos, not because im racist, which im not , but for the fun of it !!!

So lets get straight to the point, iv been at Tony Whites home along with Tony Foye and others when meetings with the police have taken place , arranging the up and coming demos where Tony and others have straight grassed others up ! why do you think the police always turned up at demos, did you never see him on the phone calling for back up, not his friends but the police he was a shitty arse and still is. He was a fully signed up police informer that tried getting me to give info ha ha no way mr white, i was in it against the police not to help them

Alot of things happened over the years, and most of us grew to hate the little runt, we wernt racistm, i had a brief fling with his missus when he was locked up the first time round and she broke down and told me she was basicly forced into it by white and that she couldnt leave him as he had said he would kill her and the kids, i don't feel sorry for her because she could leave if she wanted, so there you go the truth on white that he can not denie .. iv got my own scores to settle with him all these years later and his time is coming :-) im going to do what should have been done years ago ;-)
