In yesterdays blog entry BBC journalist, Robert Peston, went to great lengths to try to "impartially" make the point that taxpayers should bite the bullet and fork out at least a billion quid to pay bonuses to bosses at RBS- the popular bank now owned by you.
The tone of his article is vaguely threatening, suggesting that if we don´t cough up to pay bonuses to the bank owned by the government, then there will be a disaster etc.

Well basically they can shove it. To cap it all these dole scroungers that are after a cool billion or more are asking for it on the same day that the Royal Mail has announced that it wants to cut 16 000 jobs.
Aside from the fact that any taxpayer that borrows money from RBS is borrowing from himself, the blatant hypocrisy of these bankers is staggering.
For a start RBS was bankrupt and the only thing preventing it from sinking is the government handout. Therefore anyone working there is fucking lucky to still be in a job. On top of that they want a bonus. Remember, socialism for them, neoliberalism for you.
Well no. The board of the bank is due to make an announcement about the bonuses in March which will have to be approved by the Ayatollah Brown and probably Mandy as well.
So we have until then to help make it very hard for Brown to sign them off. I for one will be outside and inside my nearest RBS until that time to tell them No.
