seems what with "talking cctv cameras" "id cards" and now lie detectors.our liberty and freedom faces extinction sooner than we imagined.and who is to blame for this ??.we are all about to pay a high price for the muddled, inefficent, corrupt and immoral policies of successive postwar governments of this green and pleasent land.

If they do that then I can accept using lie detectors elsewhere, otherwise...no way.
It wont work anyway, itl cost more to process plus they are not 100%, so forget, there will be too many false positives.
Politicians should be tested frequently because they have more rsponsibility.

Has it really come to this?

Benefit fraud- the greatest crime of the 21st century alongside 'piracy' of copyrighted material
Illegal attempts to snatch crumbs from the tables of the plutocracy
Has it really come to this?- the boot is moving from your chest and the heel grinds down into your face

they work on the basis that people only read headlines
people read that lie detectors are to be used on benefit claimants
it will then influence the typical stupid dumb ass person that they calculate you are giving rise to a further reduction in benefit THIEVES as the DWP site names them
by highlighting this we risk doing their job for them
the solution- be hysterical from start to end of the call, break down, sob, claim religious persecution

1 in 3 will resist ID cards ... BBC report on ID cards
05.04.2007 11:47
" One in three people are expected not to cooperate with identity card checks, Home Office papers from 2004 suggest.
Papers revealed under information laws show officials have worked on the basis 60% of people would carry a card if and when it becomes compulsory to own one.
They assume 10% will happily confirm their ID via fingerprint or eye scans, but 30% “will refuse” to voluntarily show their card or biometric data.
The Home Office said the documents were “incredibly out of date”.
A spokesman said the identity card scheme had evolved a great deal since these “historic documents” were produced.
But he declined to say whether the assumptions - which only covers people who have got an ID card - themselves had changed."

Now jump ahead say ten years and this is how that sentence might then read as:
"The Government say that Microchip Implants have a wide range of benefits such as discounts in the Corporations store (there is only one shop that you buy every thing you want or need at by then)"
and it plans to enforce the device on the population whether they like it or not."

Lovers, liars and spies

False positives don't mean it doesn't work, you get false positives even without technology. I can remember being called a liar by a Fraud Officer only to force an apology out of him two months later. VRA isn't a polygraph test as some people seem to assume, it's completely different technology but both are indicative rather than absolute. Insurance companies who use it reject 8% of claims as opposed to the normal 1% rejections, which is why it is now used throughout the insurance and banking sectors. You will probably already have your voice analysed without being told, although many companies although you to 'opt-out' - I guess the DSS won't which is a serious breach of human rights imo.
The DWP have been investigating this for over two years now.

Now, whenever a new technology is invented it is used in an oppressive fashion, and everyone complains, but sooner or later it becomes ubititious and activist groups can benefit from this too to help identify the infiltrators and spies among us. I have. You can even use it on Jobcentre staff as they lie as much as the rest of us. I can't find out which system they have chosen but it will almost certainly be built around the Nemesysco system.
http://www.nemesysco.com/consumers.html
Funnily enough they also produce a love detector test, so any doley scum who have crushes on the Jobcentre staff have extra reason to be fearful. If there are any other Skype users you can get a free download that tests whether the person you are talking to is in love with you. What would be really handy is it could tell you people who don't love you but would sleep with you if you were their only option.
"The Love Detector technology is capable of detecting love-like feelings and other emotions via the telephone or a microphone. Although this technology is designed for entertainment use only, it is based on the core Nemesysco technology and engine."

You could use this technology for free to check the veracity of your dole officer, just record them on a walkman and then play it through the skype download. You could offer them a 'get out option' just to highlight your moral superiority. I've never tried asking a DSS officer if I could record them, I'm certainly going to next signing day, and I'm going to explain what I'm going to do with the recording to see how they like it.
"According to government figures, benefit fraud cost the UK economy about £0.7bn in 2005/06. "
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/6528425.stm
"More than £7 billion goes unclaimed each year in benefits and grants available to families and the elderly. Many people do not realise, for example, that tax credits are available to households with incomes of up £66,000. Although the process for claiming any benefit or grant can be arduous, it's worth the effort in the end."
