Sheffield Green Party is actively defending our civilian liberties and right to demonstrate in the face of the June summit. You can read and sign the letter to object to the clampdown on protests: two proposals for demos have already been banned and special powers are being invoked to suppress any other action and to restrict movement. There is a deadline for the letter: you can read the letter and add your signature before 31st May.

She will send the statement as a letter and press release to The Star and the Sheffield Telegraph on the evening of Tuesday 31st May.

2. Forward/print and pass on this message to friends and colleagues - we need to collect as many signatures as possible within a few days.

Yeah but, come on. I mean let's be controversial here.
Like they really CARE about civil liberties and rights anymore. Its an important point certainly it is...to be able to demonstrate and protest...freely, if you like.
The point and the fact IS, THEY DONT like it.
Didnt anyone actually LISTEN to CRASS, 25 years ago?:
"No your'e not, your'e a part of our machine, you're a part of our machine cos we want you to be", etc? Well, maybe just me then.
Didn't anyone actually twig after Seattle and the WTO, after Oxford Street and London Mayday 2001 and thereafter.....encircled, time and again. WHY?
WHY because it's defence of the realm isn't it? The puppets with the Power and they are afraid of you, of us! Yes, that's right:
"Keep us all divided when the troubles start".
Didnt ANYONE LISTEN to CRASS 25 years ago??

Surely someone else MUST HAVE read then, "In the Public Interest", a book written about arms trade, corruption, dirty dealing within and the lies and unscrupulous lows that these filthy, despicable, sickening, power and money mad people will stoop to?
This is YOUR government, YOUR security services, YOUR spooks, YOUR PUPPET parliament and YOUR Queen, Defender of the Faith........and they DONT WANT YOU, dont want us.......to demonstrate freely anymore against THEIR machine...because they are afraid of something.

I think that they are afraid of the TRUTH about themselves.

We dont HAVE to put up with THEIR CRAP and yet we still do.
Someone(once) said "Smile, things could get worse".....so we did smile......and things DID get worse!
Will the smile EVER lay down with the snarl?

HAPPY protesting - Pop pickers.
