On Wednesday 7th April the people of Sheffield will have the opportunity to view a free multimedia exhibition bringing Palestinian voices from the Balata, the largest refugee camp in the West Bank. The exhibition will run from 0930-1830 and takes place at The Drum [ex-National Centre for Popular Music], Pasternoster Row, Sheffield S1.

The exhibition includes:
- photos
- children's art (drawings, paintings, and some 3-dimensional art)
- video (interviews with individuals, interviews with '48 surviors, footage of the camp, footage of soldiers and human rights abuses etc)
- sounds (music, interviews, noise from camp, noise from soldiers, children's choirs)
- martyr posters
- interactive displays
- women's embroidery and art
- graffiti (stencils done by people in the camp)
- stories and poetry
- individual's stories and background information about Balata including information from community organizations
This will be followed in the evening at 1900 at the same venue, by the showing of a video and discussion on Balata with two activists who have recently spent time at Balata.

Hopefully the finished version will be shown again.
The exhibition made by Palestinians brought their struggle much closer and the question and answer session was perhaps the best bit.
Unfortunately the late organising of the venue meant the only publicity was last minute electronic publicity so a lot of Sheff people missed this interesting evening.
